The end of my pledge drive is near! I have a concert this Saturday at The Warming House in South Minneapolis! I'm also broadcasting it as a FREE concert via Concert Window . C'mon over via your phone or computer! :)
Also, I wrote a little jingle about Patreon! I hope you do sign up!
This month, I'm starting a four-day pledge drive to connect with more members on Patreon! They days are spread out, with the first one being this Saturday, May 14th! On this day, I will post a new video or two and then do an online concert via Concert Window!
Why are you doing a pledge drive, Ellis?
I just made my pledge on Minnesota Public Radio and learned that only 15% of listeners pledge! And that's enough to keep it going strong. I think that's so cool. Everyone's circumstances are different - and pledging works for some families and not others.
In a similar spirit, I am hosting a pledge drive that is asking you to consider if you want to become a micro-patron via Patreon. Where you give a small donation each month in order to support me making music.
If that idea sounds fun and wonderful to you, please sign up this month! And if it doesn't thrill you, don't do it! I mean it. You don't have to. Just keep reading my newsletters, listening to Ellis Radio on Pandora (I'm adding Guest House soon), and coming to concerts. That is enough...and you are enough!
I'm coming to Colorado for a fundraising concert for the Wild Bear Mountain Ecology Center! It is Saturday, April 2nd. Here's the ticket link!
Wild Bear Mountain Ecology Center is the only non-profit nature center in Boulder County, and I am thrilled to be playing a concert supporting them. Please help spread the word to folks who live in Boulder!

And thank you to Rich Larson for this wonderful article in Southern Minn Scene.
From SouthernMN Scene.com:
"Ellis Delaney is a criminally underappreciated singer, songwriter and performer.
Perhaps it’s just a simple function of an amazing abundance of great singer/songwriters in our wonderfully frozen state. I don’t know. Everybody here at the plush and secret headquarters of SouthernMinn Scene thinks she’s pretty terrific. You should, too.
She’s gifted with a gorgeous voice. She writes beautiful songs with really intelligent lyrics. I realize this isn’t out of the ordinary around here, but Ellis has something truly unique, and I tend to think it’s in her smile.
Bear with me here.
The first time I ever heard of her was shortly after I took the reins here at Scene. One of our staff reporters brought me an interview she had conducted with Ellis. For all of her bon-fides and songwriting awards, I was a little surprised that I hadn’t heard of her. I looked her up on the web and came across a video for her song “Right On Time,” and was immediately taken with her. She has a confident, enthusiastic, even exuberant, optimism that is both disarming and highly contagious. I defy even the most cynical Gen Xer out there to go see her perform and not get a few joyful goosebumps.
She put out a new album last week called The Guest House (which Sarah Osterbauer will review in the upcoming issue of this magazine), and is currently playing a few shows around the state. On Saturday, she’ll be at the Chatfield Art Center performing an installment of the immaculately curated Chosen Bean Concert Series. One of the words they use to describe her on their website in “uninhibited,” and that might be the best way to describe her.
If you’re feeling down, if you need a pick me-up, this is the show for you. If you’re looking for a pre-Valentine’s Day date night activity, this would be a good one. If you just love to hear good music from someone who loves to play, Ellis is your woman. You will not be disappointed." (Rich Larson)
